The Gaylord Methodist Women are so excited to announce the 64th Holiday House Saturday, November 4th, from 9a-2p. All your favorite shops will be back with 5 new shops geared for our younger crowd! Holiday House is the perfect way for families to spend the day together ringing in the Holiday Season!

YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN THE FUN! The Gaylord Methodist Women are so excited to announce the 64th Annual Holiday House!

All your favorite shops will be back with 5 new shops geared for our younger crowd!
*Santa and Mrs. Claus will be here from 10:30am-12:30pm.
* Luncheon will be served from 11:00am-1:00pm. Our luncheon this year will be a hearty and delicious luncheon as always located in the Fellowship Hall. Take a break from shopping or meet friends and family for a delicious lunch in a festive holiday atmosphere. Adults $6, six to 12 years $3, five and under are FREE.
* Our famous Pasties will be available to order during the Holiday House! Delicious homemade pasties are baked fresh for pickup on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 16th, 17th, and 18th. Stop by the Holiday House pasties table at the landing by Fellowship Hall entry to turn in your orders.
Holiday House is the perfect way for families to spend the day together ringing in the Holiday Season in a family friendly shopping and festive atmosphere.
Gaylord Methodist Women (GMW) nurture and encourage one another in spiritual growth. Also, we raise monies for local, state, and national missions. Holiday House earnings make up almost 20% of GMW’s annual income - the second largest fundraiser after pasty sales. YOU CAN HELP US CONTINUE THIS WONDERFUL TRADITION!
Be certain to check in at the door and pick up your door prize drawing form. Also available at the door will be tickets for all the children’s booths. 4 tickets for $1.00.
LIST OF THIS YEAR'S BOOTHS
ATTIC TREASURES: Attic Treasures is located in Room 109 packed full of perfect treasures just in time for your holiday gift giving. Shop for teachers, parents and grandparents, newly-weds, college students, or yourself. These regifted collectibles, glassware, men’s gifts might be just what you have on your need list.
BAKED GOODS: The Baked Goods in Room 102 shop sells fresh baked pies; white, wheat or any specialty breads; cookies; brownies; or anything sweet, baked with love, and packaged to sell. This much-loved booth is back this year and the shelves will be filled with fresh baked deliciousness for our hungry customers. Can’t you just smell the aroma of all those goodies?
BALL TOSS – New this year for our younger shoppers: Let Go and Let God. Using recycled, decorated tin cans, gently toss ping-pong balls at and into the tin cans. Read out load the Bible verse written on the can that you ball went in and win a special prize. The Ball Toss booth will be in the Narthex. Participate in the Ball Toss with tickets purchased at the door.
BALLOON CHARACTERS - New this year for our younger shoppers: Sue will be available in the Narthex to make balloon characters for the children attending Holiday House for just a ticket. Something for the youngsters to enjoy while parents and grandparents are shopping. Balloon Characters will be created in the Narthex. Purchase your favorite balloon character with tickets purchased at the door.
BOOK SHOP AROUND THE CORNER: Book Shop Around the Corner is located ‘around the corner’ in the Choir Room downstairs. You will find all types of books including children’s books, paperback and hard cover books of all categories. Love Puzzles? Check us out.
CANDY: Are you a candy lover? The Candy Shop in Room 102 has a wonderful display of all kind of homemade candy; dipped, praline, divinity. Any flavor fudge, peanut butter balls, mound bars, brittle, sea foam, toffee, nut clusters, and bark. The Candy Shop is just the stop to stock up for Thanksgiving company.
CARDS BY CREATIVE HANDS: Located in the Fellowship Hall, you’ll find an amazing assortment of hand-made, assorted greeting cards for special events and photo note cards which can be blank inside. Stock up on these original, one-of-a-kind special cards to have on hand for all occasions.
CRAFTS: In Fellowship Hall, stop by our creative, handmade contemporary craft items, Christmas decorations and ornaments. Something new for you holiday décor and giving.
CUP CAKE WALK - New this year for our younger shoppers: The Cup Cake Walk located in Room 104 will be the traditional activity of a small group walking in a circle of numbers to music. When the music stops, each participant stands on a number. A number is drawn and the person standing on that number wins a sweet treat. Participate in the Cup Cake Walk by tickets purchased at the door.
DOLL HOUSE: The Doll House will be located in the Narthex with a huge assortment collectible Porcelain Dolls. Barbie dolls, American Girl type dolls, Boxy Girl dolls, LOL Surprise Dolls, LOL Surprise accessories, baby dolls, stuffed dolls or animals, children’s books, doll furniture, or tea sets will all be available for our shoppers. Doll clothes and other doll surprises doll might be found.
FACE PAINTING – New this year for our younger shoppers. The Face Painting Booth will be located in Room 108 and accept tickets as payment. Face painting is always a hit with youngsters of all ages and will provide an opportunity for parents to shop while their children are having fun. Purchase a face painting with tickets purchased at the door.
FIRESIDE COFFEE: Take a break from your holiday shopping at the Holiday House Bazaar and enjoy sweet treats and coffee by the fireside in Fellowship Hall.
FISH TANK – New this year for our younger shoppers. The Fish Tank will be downstairs in the Church Library. For a ticket or two, children will toss a fishing line over a curtain and snag a great prize. This booth will be attended by two adults, one on each side of the curtain. Participate in the Fish Tank with tickets purchased at the door.
JEWELRY: Marketable jewelry of all kinds and related accessories like jewelry boxes and displays will be for sold in the Jewelry Shop. Look over this fabulous display of old, new and hand crated beautiful jewelry. A ladies’ delight!
NATURE NOOK: The Nature Nook is freshly stocked this year with blue bird houses, bird houses, bird feeders, magazines and other delights for bird lovers. You will also find a variety of freshly potted herbs, house plants including Christmas/Easter cactuses, house plants, succulents, and polished stones. Also, we are promised flower seeds for spring planting. We are always amazed at the variety of imaginative nature related items that appear each year. It’s a don’t miss, restocked, full of fun shop for anyone who loves birds, flowers, garden and yard art, bulbs and seeds.
PANTRY: The Pantry along with Candy and Baked Goods located in Room 102 will be a must stop shop. The aroma of its delights will draw you through the door. Inside you will find cookbooks, cheese spread, cheese balls, hot fudge, home-canned jam or jelly, fruit butter, all sorts of preserved fruits, vegetables and salsa. We also have chili sauce, relish, pickled beets, soup mixes, and salad toppings to sell. All foodies and sweets lovers are welcome.
PASTY ORDERS: Delicious homemade pasties are baked fresh for pickup on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 16, 17, and 18. Stop by the Holiday House pasties table at the landing by Fellowship Hall entry to turn in your orders.
SEWING & NEEDLEWORK: Sewing and Needlework will be located in the church nursery. Handmade needlework such as Christmas stockings and tree skirts, placemats, napkins, table runners, tablecloths, aprons, bibs and baby clothing. The ladies have worked all year to restock the sewing and needlework just in time for your holiday shopping.
RADA CUTLERY: RADA is a USA company that makes great cutlery items & utensils (individual items & sets.) They also offer delicious soup, cheese ball, and dip mixes. Great topical cookbooks (ex.”RV We There Yet,” Sheet Pan Meals,” “Fix It In Foil,”etc.) Many, many households “swear by” RADA products. Place your RADA order during Holiday House on November 4th or at the Church Welcome Center Oct 22 – Nov 5.
SILENT AUCTION: Visit the Silent Auction in the Fellowship Hall during Holiday House and place your bids on an array of quality art, collectibles and gifts that you will love and value.
12 & UNDER: You must be 12 or under to visit this shop, located in the Youth Room downstairs in the Church. It is filled with wonderful, fun, some collectible, gifts that would be treasured by teachers, parents, or grandparents. The booth is for our young shoppers and will be attended to by two adults. A fun time for the young people to shop without adults peeking.
